Spearit sells only the highest quality natural rubber latex tubing. This tubing is manufactured in the U.S.A. by Kent Elastomer using the dip method. Dip manufactured natural rubber tubing has elastic qualities superior to extruded tubing or tubing made from other synthetic elastomers. One of the consequences of dip manufacturing is that it results in random lengths after defects are trimmed. This listing is for 50 feet comprised of up to 3 segments of random length. The segments are joined with temporary tape, spooled and packaged by the manufacturer. We also sell hand picked continuous lengths but keep in mind these factory packed 50 foot spools are substantially discounted. Additionally the fact that no additional processing is required, means that these bulk spools can be in stock at Amazon in as little as a few days from when they were manufactured. This is important because natural rubber is a perishable product for which proper storage and age matter. A short supply chain is even more important so if you are considering other vendors it is important to know whether their supplier is the manufacturer or a distributor. This extra step in the supply chain could add months or even years to the age of the material.
