HOW TO INSTALL:
1.Activate the charcoal cartridge that comes with your filter assembly by soaking it in water for about 5 minutes, and then rinse it in fresh water for another minute. While the cartridge soaks, wash the steel mesh on the assembly's filter holder with warm, soapy water. Rinse the steel mesh thoroughly, removing all the soap film.
2. Lift and remove the cover of the water reservoir, which is located on the left side of the coffee maker.
3. Turn the filter unit's round replacement date dial to two months in the future. This offers a reminder of when it's time to check and replace the filter.
4. Open The cage at the bottom of the filter assembly. Insert the soaked and rinsed filter cartridge, and then snap the cage closed.
5. Position The filter assembly directly over the water outlet in the base of the reservoir. Push the unit down slightly until the assembly locks into place. You should feel it click into position.
