(Take "2005 PT Cruiser 2.4L" as an example) Step ①: Remove the six 8mm upper manifold retaining bolts. Step ②:Loosen the air intake clamp at the throttle body. Step ③:Lift the upper intake manifold and retain out of the way using a bungee cord. Step ④:Remove old plug wire. Step ⑤:Using cotton swab, apply a very small amount of dielectric grease to the boot interior at each end (just the boot - not the terminal). Step ⑥:Reinstall new plug wire. Step ⑦:Repeat for each cylinder until done. Step ⑧:Lower intake manifold back in place and tighten to spec from interior bolts to the outside (no new gaskets required). Step ⑨:Tighten clamp at air intake to throttle body.
