This is an online album of vital, vibrant and gorgeous Bible art by Albrecht DÃ¼rer. Without very much commentary the visual art speaks for itself.

According to general agreement, the German painter and printmaker from Nuremberg, Albrecht DÃ¼rer, was the greatest artist of the Northern Renaissance, producing a body of artistic output that was prodigious, admired and imitated by artists of his own and succeeding generations.

These images from the Biblical record include copper engravings, woodcuts and various color media. Watch for background landscapes and architectural features fashioned from DÃ¼rer's own familiar German surroundings.
