They're an eight-panel short, which allows each panel to be cut in such a way that it'll conform well to your body in the cycling position, and each panel is cut from Castelli's ProDry2Strati fabric, which is a two-layer fabric that wicks moisture away from your skin. At the core of any short is the chamois, and Castelli opted for the tried-and-true KISS3 in the Evoluzione. It's a low-profile chamois that does a fantastic job of reducing chafing and supporting your sit bones.
