Electronic Identity Crisis (Doorways of the Soremadian Book 1)
Life will never be the same for innocent twenty eight year old Dorsey Carney.
Humankind has just discovered and started to explore technology left behind by a vast and long-dead alien civilization. Dorsey was working with a team for the betterment all humankind and risking his life for Earth by investigating the system of interconnected doorways the alien race used to cross huge distances. A terrible accident occurs, and Dorsey awakens to find that he is not dead - and he is not himself. He opens his eyes to see his body, laying hurt, but alive in the distance. Slowly he realizes that he, the essence of Dorsey, has been copied into an alien robot. A female alien robot. This is not possible, but then again, this is alien technology.
Dorsey has to struggle to express himself, and wrestle with the bigger issues of whether he is himself or not, and what to do with his life, his friends, and his old, real, self. His friends and team struggle too. Where can a guy, now in a girl’s robot body, truly fit in? In his old life, or outside of it?
Then teams go missing, things get dangerous, and Dorsey steps up to help. With his more robust robotic body, perhaps he can save them, and himself, out there in those big, empty alien worlds..
