HUNT DOWN: Twenty-Fifth in a Series of Jess Williams Westerns (A Jess Williams Western Book 25)
Jess is busy doing what he does best, hunting down wanted men for the bounty on their heads when he receives an urgent message from an old friend, Sheriff Mark Steele in Timber, Texas.
Jess travels to Timber to find Sheriff Steele badly wounded and recuperating, and Pattie Nate with a broken arm and almost trampled to death from a bunch of outlaws led by a man named McCoy. McCoy and his bunch of outlaws kill Jess's old friend River Bend Bill and a few other townsfolk before the raid is over. They also trample Judge McBride's wife to death on their way out of Timber.
Sheriff Steele wants Jess to hunt down McCoy and his men and bring them to justice in the most severe way. Jess sets out on a long ride to hunt down every one of them. He is faced with several setbacks, but his dogged determination to get the men responsible drives him on, never giving up and never backing down.
