THE BOUNTY HUNTERS: Twenty-Eighth in a Series of Jess Williams Westerns (A Jess Williams Western Book 28)
Jess is on the hunt for more wanted men when he suddenly realizes that he is the one being hunted. It seems that the other bounty hunters in the business are getting frustrated with Jess, who keeps collecting on all the larger bounties on wanted men. The bounty hunters then conspire to take him out of the business once and for all.
Basil Thorndike, the second best bounty hunter in the business, who helped Jess a while back, becomes an unlikely ally and helps Jess again against the mounting number of bounty hunters attempting to kill him. True to his nature, Jess changes the game by going on the offensive, finding and confronting the other bounty hunters and forcing their hand. Lead starts flying and men start dying and Jess wonders if this will finally be his turn to meet the devil.
