It has a five round capacity. Only a slightly curved bolt, and cocks on opening. It is not a fast return fire weapon compared to a Lee Enfield. It incorporated stamped parts earlier than many military weapons, and a parkerized finish. The Springfield is still beloved by millions because of it's good looks, dependability, and balance.
