You can apply it direct to metal and use it as a topcoat, or use it as a primer and apply the topcoat of your choice over it. This easy-to-use, water-based polyurethane can be applied directly to properly prepared substrates using a brush, roller, or spray gun. No need to etch the aluminum or prime first, which saves time and effort. You'll also finish faster because Aluminum Boat Paint dries extremely fastâ€”overcoat in just 1 hour at 72Â°F, without sanding between coats.
