ON THE BACK OF THE BOX THERE IS AN AREA THAT HAS ALL THE SPECIFICATIONS OF THE ORIG. GAMMA. AND THE FOLLOWING HISTORY: THIS ORIGINAL GAMMA, CREATED FOR FRANK HAWKS, AVIATION DEPARTMENT HEAD FOR TEXACO, WAS DELIVERED TO TEXACO IN DECEMBER 1932. IT WAS EQUIPPED WITH A WRIGHT 14 CYLINDER ENGINE OF 785 HORSEPOWER. ITS TOP SPEED WAS APPROXIMATELY 223 MILES PER HOUR AND BECAUSE OF THE EFFICIENT WING AND FLAP DESIGN, IT COULD LAND AT A MERE 65 MILES PER HOUR. THE RANGE AT CRUISING SPEED WAS 2,500 MILES, ALLOWING NON-STOP COAST TO COAST FLIGHT CAPABILITY.ON JUNE 2, 1933, FRANK HAWKS FLEW NON-STOP FROM LOS ANGELES TO NEW YORK IN 13 HOURS AND 27 MINUTES, BREAKING HIS OLD RECORD OF 36 HOURS, 48 MINUTES AND 48 SECONDS.
