Detour (North Georgia Days Book 7)
Brett and Sherry Warren have been married for a little over a year now, as fall is approaching once again in North Georgia. Their daughter Emily is 14, preparing to start her freshman year in high school, and becoming more attached to her first real boyfriend. Brett and Sherry will feel like they are navigating a minefield, where teen-aged boy-girl relationships are concerned.
This issue will be pushed slightly to the background as life throws the Warrens an unwelcome, unexpected twist.
Tony and Andrea Powell are going to get a taste of what Brett and Sherry deal with every week, as Tony leaves for two weeks of advanced police training.
Brad and Gloria Evans are settling into a slightly different routine. Their daughter Sherri, and Scott Williams are now married, and will be living with them on Savannah Lane; at least until Scott gets word of where his work will take he and his new bride off to, come spring. All four of them reach out to their close friends, the Warrens, when an unexpected crisis leaves Brett, Sherry, and Emily wondering what to do next.
George and Susan Armstrong still enjoy having a crowd for Sunday dinner.
Darryl and Myra Williams look ahead, as Darryl prepares to take on a new role at work; perishable supervisor for the expanding Midway Supermarket Company.
Before the fall is over, Brett and Sherry will get another surprise. Unlike the last one, this one will be very welcome, and totally unexpected!
Welcome back to North Georgia, where faith, family, and friends are still things you can count on!
