Summer Highways (North Georgia Days Book 5)
The summer of 2010 comes to North Georgia, bringing with it the heat and humidity the south is famous for. However, some of it's residents aren't going to be here for all of the summer. Brett and Emily Warren will be taking an extended road trip, so Emily can gather material for a school project next fall. She learns many lessons in the process, including what an over-the-road truck driver's life is really like.
Sherry Warren, who owns half of Midway Supermarket, will be at home this summer, (except for a one-week vacation) as the store continues to thrive.
Police Sergeant Tony Powell takes a few more lumps in the line of duty, even as he tries to figure out a way to ease Andrea's anxiety over his occupation.
Brad and Gloria Evans can only watch as their daughter Sherri graduates from high school, after suffering an injury that ends her soccer-playing days. Neither of them are prepared for what happens next, especially Brad.
Darryl and Myra Williams are dismayed that no one has offered their son Scott a college scholarship, but their dismay will change to amazement when a new employer suddenly emerges.
So while life moves on at a rapid pace; faith, family, and friends continue to smooth out the bumps in the road for the North Georgia gang.
