A SHORT STORY. Called to Egypt by a lifelong friend, a city psychologist believes he's headed for pampered luxury as he inspects a recently excavated archaeology dig. He couldn't have been more wrong. Instead, Jesse finds himself on a quest to locate a remote cavern deep within the bowels of the earth. Exhausted, frustrated, and afraid, Jesse is ready to admit defeat and call it quits. His archaeologist friend, Zane, however, is determined to reveal an ancient technology he's discovered and test its ties to string theory.

Although it's been around since the beginning of time, sound technology is only now coming to the forefront of scientific research and its value shows great promise. An archaeologist with severe dust allergies, Zane is determined to find out if his friend's soothing vocal pitch can have a powerful effect if directed and utilized in a manner the ancients once used to tinker with the basic properties of matter. Chased by Tutankhamen's ghost, the two men brave an exhausting trek to arrive at an underground area perfectly suited for the astounding experiment Zane proposes.

Along the way, Jesse confronts his demons, discovers new abilities, and reconsiders the value of his friendship with a budding Indiana Jones.
